Shown are the present-day countries of Turkey, Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan, and Israel, Armenia, Georgia & Azerbaijan and parts of Iran, Greece, Egypt and Ukraine.  Topographical features are shown with major cities, towns, deserts, oases, rivers, islands and land routes located.  A very detailed view of the area as it was known in the 1850's.
