This very detailed 19th century map depicts North Carolina with its counties named and in contrasting colors. Topographical features are shown with major cities, towns, roads, mills, waterways and railroads identified. A large portion of Virginia and South Carolina is also included.
The inset provides an enlarged view of “Beaufort Harbor." A very informative view of the state as it existed in the 1870's.
