Koberger was the leading German publisher of his day - known particularly for the Nuremberg Chronicle.  He was also Albrecht Durer’s Godfather – providing Durer with his early training!

The text for this leaf is nicely printed in gothic letter in two columns. Rubricating and underlining are executed by hand in red ink. Three four-line woodcut initials.

The fifteen-line woodcut illustration depicts The division of the Twelve Tribes of Israel – The Vision of Ezekiel.

This leaf contains the text from Ezekiel 44:4 – 47:19: ''Gloria Domini…'' (Behold the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord…Thus saith the Lord God: This is the border, by which you shall possess the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: for Joseph hath a double portion…).
