This very detailed map depicts the state of Montana with the counties named and in contrasting pastel colors. Topographical features are very well noted and towns, cities, land routes and water routes are identified. Indian Reservations and Military Reservations are also located.
The inset, lower left, depicts the “TERRITORY BETWEEN BUTTE AND HELENA”. “Custer Battle Ground June 25, 1876” is noted on the Crow Indian Reservation. A very detailed view of Montana as it existed in the 1890’s!
