Very fine & beautifully engraved map with original hand-coloring. Engraved by G. W. Boynton (owner of an engraving company in Boston 1830’s - 40’s). This exceptionally handsome map depicts Tennessee with the counties named and in contrasting pastel colors. Topographical features are shown with various land routes, water routes, cities and towns identified. A very interesting and very scarce view of the region as it existed in the early 19th century.
