This map originally appeared in a Dutch Bible and depicts the Travels of St. Paul and the other Apostles. The vignettes surrounding the map show episodes from the book of Acts detailing critical moments in the lives of St. Paul and the other Apostles (including receiving the Holy Ghost, the miracle upon the lame man, the stoning of Stephen, the conversion of Paul).
A small ship in the Mediterranean traces St. Paul’s journey from Judea to Rome. Sailing Ships and a compass rose decorate the sea.
