Fine molded pottery female figure wearing long flowing himation, wrapped over her head, holding an offering in her left hand. A particularly pleasing and graceful votive figure. It is intact, with some surface wear and incrustation and minor losses at the foot. Found in Western Turkey. (Height: 229 mm – 9 inches)

Provenance: Ex-collection of Ambassador William Norris Dale (1919-2014), Durham, N.C. Ambassador Dale was a career U.S. Diplomat. He formed a collection of Greek, Roman and Near Eastern Antiquities while stationed in Ankara, Turkey in the early 1960's.
