Published in London, c. 1790.

Curtis (author of Flora Londinensis) established the Botanical Magazine in 1787.  It was the first popular horticultural publication to use fine hand-colored plates. Artists include James Sowerby, Sydenham Edwards, W.J. Hooker, W.H. Fitch & W. Herbert.
