This very detailed map depicts southern South America (present-day Chili, Argentina, and Uruguay) with countries named and provinces in contrasting colors. Topographical features are shown with numerous mountains, volcanoes, deserts, cities, towns, and waterways identified. Indian Tribes and ruins are located throughout the map.
Additional notes describe topographical features and several Indian Tribes. The inset, lower right, provides depicts the ''South Part of Patagonia''. A very attractive view of southern South America as it was known in the mid-19th century.
