A Festooned Glass Flask. Rare example of ancient festooned glass; Lovely small deep blue glass bottle having a flattened tear drop body and long tapered cylindrical neck.
Byzantine (or Islamic?), c. 8th - 10th century AD
The flask is embellished overall with a white and yellow festooned decoration. There is an attractive yellow-tan surface patina. (94 x 41 mm - 3 11/16 x 1 5/8 inches) Custom lucite stand included.
