The large size of the page is unusual in 13th century Bible production! The lower right margin, back (verso) side, contains a whimsical face, similar to others throughout this Bible that were drawn on the vellum with plummet.

This leaf contains text from I Kings (King James Version: I Samuel) 16:10 – 17:49  (DAVID IS ANOINTED BY SAMUEL; DAVID & GOLIATH): ''Filios suos…'' (Isai brought his seven sons before Samuel…Samuel said to Isai: Are here all thy sons? He answered: There remaineth yet a young one, who keepeth the sheep…Now he was a ruddy & beautiful to behold, & of a comely face. And the Lord said: Arise, & anoint him, for this is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward…And there went out a man baseborn from the camp of the Philistines named Goliath…David said: The Lord who delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine…David put his hand into his scrip, and took a stone, and cast it with the sling, and fetching it about struck the Philistine in the forehead: and the stone was fixed in his forehead & he fell on his face upon the earth).
