Both city plans are on the same scale. The plan on the left depicts the city of Savannah.  Major streets and railroads are identified.  The note, upper left, provides a brief history of the city, and the key at the bottom locates numerous squares and wards. 

The plan on the right depicts the city of Charleston.  Major streets and railroads are identified.  Wharfs, the Washington Race Course, The Citadel and the United States Arsenal are among the places located.  A highly detailed view of the two cities prior to the onset of the Civil War.
