The one-line illuminated ''G'' instructs the reader to recite the Glory Be by providing the first two words “Gloria patri” (Glory be to the Father…).  Part of the Hail Mary follows:  “Benedicta tu in mulieribus et benedictus fructus ventris tui” (Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb Jesus).

The two-line illuminated “F” begins the prayer:  “Felix namque es sacra Virgo Maria et omni laude dignissima, quia ex te ortus est sol justitiae, Christus Deus noster. Deo gracias…” (For thou art happy, O holy Virgin Mary, and art worthy of all praise, for out of thee arose the Sun of justice, Christ our God. Thanks be to God. Grace is poured abroad in thy lips; therefore hath God blessed thee forever…).

The two-line illuminated “D” begins:  “Deus qui Apostolis tuis Sanctum didisti spiritum…” (O God, who gave the Holy Spirit to your Apostles, grant to your people that which they lovingly ask of you).
