This VERY SCARCE map depicts the various geological features of the state in contrasting colors (see the color key at the lower left). Cities, towns and railroads are also identified throughout the state.

The map was issued by the University of Texas – Bureau of Economic Geology. 

Ex-collection Paul Browning (1910-2003), signed inside top left of map and in lower right margin. He graduated from University of Texas,  then worked as a geologist in Texas and New Mexico, and as a geophysicist on the Gulf Coast and for Exxon in Venezuela for 26 years. Browining was a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Exploration Geo-physicists and the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers.
