Spain, c. 1550. This Choirbook once belonged to the Convent of San Pedro Regalado de la Aguilera, and was likely scribed there.

This leaf continues the famous 4th century hymn of praise - the Te Deum: ''Venerandum tuum...'' (Thy adorable, true and only Son; and the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. O Christ, Thou art the King of glory! Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father. Thou, having taken it upon Thyself to deliver man, didst not disdain the Virgin's womb. Thou overcame the sting of death).
Antiphonals contain chants for the canonical hours of the Divine Office: first vespers or the vigil of great feasts, matins, lauds, prime, terce, sext, none, vespers and compline.
